Sweet lovers of Brooklyn have more fulfillment to satisfy their sugar rushes. BCakeNY has expanded not only by new location, but by variety as well.
Last month, BcakeNY had the grand opening of their new shop, BCakeShop, that is only a few steps from the original location that is still there.
BCakeNY is known for their unbelievably amazing edible “cake art” (what I like to call it) created for clients and celebrities such as Kelly Rowland, Jay-Z, the Kardashians, just to name a few.
By opening BCakeShop, customers have more of a convenience to pop in and grab a few dozens cupcakes and/or mini cakes for last minute occasions. They are even GLUTEN-FREE friendly.
After seeing a need for a convenient location, as well as an enhancement to their already growing community, BCakeShop partners Akim Vann, Martine Dallem, and Miriam Milord created a Kickstarter to raise the $25,000 needed to complete the project. In less than a year, thanks to the outpouring of donations, the Prospect Heights neighborhood has a place to sit and have coffee and cake, as well as a place to offer cake or cupcake making classes for kids (and adults) and small parties. “Baking brings everyone together”, says Miriam.
BCakeShop offers your old-school traditional baking needs and even the new-school items. They even offer paletas (Mexican popsicles) by La NewYorkina in flavors such as mango blackberry, mango chili and cucumber lime.
